Ever since Xiaomi entered the foldable phone arena with the launch of the first Mix Fold in China, the company has now announced the fourth edition of the Fold series with the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 and introduced a new flip phone called the Xiaomi Mix Flip. Here’s what the Mix flip has to offer.
Xiaomi Mix Flip: Specs
When unfolded, the Xiaomi Mix Flip features a 6.86-inch LTPO AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate and HDR 10+ support. The secondary display features a 4 inch AMOLED display with a 3000nits peak brightness. The secondary display allows for quick access to notifications, music controls, and other frequently used apps and functions without having to unfold the phone.
Under the hood, the Xiaomi Mix Flip is powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, with RAM configurations ranging from 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM up to 16GB coupled with storage configurations from 256GB upto 1TB of storage.
The camera department on the Mix Flip features a dual-camera system on the back, co-developed with Leica. This comprises of a main 50MP wide sensor, backed by a secondary 50MP telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom. On the front, the Mix Flip features a 32MP selfie camera.
The device is equipped with a 4780mAh coupled with 67W wired charging and runs the latest Android 14 with Xiaomi’s HyperOS skin. Additionally, it comes with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for secure unlocking and boasts a range of connectivity options including Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.4, and NFC for contactless payments.
Price, colours and availability
Launched in China along with the Xiaomi Fold 4, the Xiaomi Mix Flip is priced at CNY 5,999 (Rs. 69,047) for the 12GB+256GB variant, CNY 6,499 (Rs. 74,726) and CNY 7,299 (Rs. 83,924) for the top-end 16GB+ 1TB storage variant.
The Xiaomi Mix Flip is launched in three colour ways, White, Black, Purple, and Xiaomi nylon fiber editions. While the Indian launch date remains under wraps, the Mix Flip is sure to spark interest among other foldable phone competitors in the Indian market.
