After launching the Honor 200 series in India, Honor has added another tablet into the X8 series, with the global launch of the Honor Pad X8a. Aimed at prioritising affordability and a long battery life, here’s everything that this Android tablet brings to the table.
Honor Pad X8a specs
The Honor Pad X8a features a 11 inch TFT LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 400nits. With a display resolution of 1920 x 1200 the tablet features a colour Gamut of 16.7 million colours.
Under the hood, the Pad X8a is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 chipset, coupled with 4GB of RAM and either 64GB or 128GB of internal storage to choose from, The tablet runs on the latest Android 14 with Honor’s MagicOS 8.0 on top.
The camera department is quite basic, with both the front and rear cameras sporting 5MP sensors. The Honor Pad X8a’s biggest highlight however, is its battery life. The 8300mAh battery of the Pad X8a lasts upto 56 days on a single charge, as Honor claims that the device supports upto 14 hours of online video playback, 85 hours of music playback.
The tablet features a large-amplitude quad-speaker layout, powered by the HONOR Histen algorithm, allowing musicals to sound rich. Apart from enhancing the human voice for children’s online learning it also automatically filters out surrounding noises when speaking, such as keyboard and mouse clicks and footsteps, highlighting the human voice and making communication smoother, as advertised by Honor.
Additionally the Pad X8a supports dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.1 for connectivity. It lacks a 3.5mm headphone jack, but offers high-resolution audio through its stereo speakers and USB Type-C port. Notably, the tablet does not support mobile data connectivity, making it reliant on Wi-Fi for internet access.
The box of contents includes the tablet itself, a charger, a Type-C cable for charging and data transfer, a Quick Start Guide for easy setup, and an eject pin for accessing the SIM tray.
Price, Colours and Availability
The Honor Pad X8a is available in Space Gray and is expected to start at a budget-friendly price point. This tablet is yet to be launched in India and the pricing is yet to be revealed by Honor.
