2024 seems to be buzzing with smartphone launches worldwide. We’ve seen top-tier flagship releases like the Samsung Galaxy S24 series, Xiaomi’s 14 series, and the OnePlus 12 series, alongside an array of midrangers like the Nothing Phone 2a, Samsung Galaxy A35 and A55, and the Realme 12+ series/Realme Narzo 70 series. Adding to the excitement, the Tecno Pova 6 Pro 5G made its grand entrance at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2024 in Barcelona last month. The Chinese smartphone manufacturer Tecno announced that the device will hit the Indian market on March 29th. The launch will be in collaboration with the gaming entertainment extravaganza, Playground Season 3, and will be live-streamed on Amazon miniTV, where the unboxing of this smartphone will take place.
Tecno Pova 6 Pro 5G specs
The Tecno Pova 6 pro features a 6.78 inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a pixel density of 396 ppi, refresh rate of 120Hz and 1300 nits of peak brightness, along with 2160Hz PWM dimming. In terms of design, the handset features a thickness of 7.88 mm, is 8.6% lighter at 195g than the previous generation according to Tecno. The sleek frame houses a 6000 mAh battery. The handset supports Dolby Atmos spatial sound and features MiniLED lighting on the rear panel.
Fuelling up this midranger is the MediaTek Dimensity 6080 SoC chipset, coupled with a robust 6,000mAh battery, supporting a whopping 70W of wired charging and 10W reverse wired charging capabilities. Tecno claims that the device charges to 50 percent in just 20 minutes and 100 percent in 50 minutes with the 70W support. In terms of memory, the device offers flexibility with two RAM variants: 8GB and 12GB, both paired with 256GB of onboard storage. Additionally, users can virtually expand the available memory up to 24GB using vRAM (virtual RAM). The device gets the latest Android 14 OS with Tecno’s HiOS 13 skin.
In terms of the camera, the Tecno Pova 6 Pro features a triple camera setup on the rear, it consists of one 108 MP, 24mm, f/1.9 wide sensor with PDAF that can also reach 1/1.52″ and features two macro sensors: one 2 MP and another 0.08 MP for added depth. On the front, the Tecno Pova 6 Pro 5G sports a 32 MP front camera with an LED flash. Other sensors include an in-display fingerprint sensor, a light sensor, proximity sensor, an accelerometer, a compass and gyroscope. The Tecno Pova 6 Pro 5G features an FM Radio, a USB Type-C 2.0 port, a 3.5mm audio jack and dual band 5G support.
Tecno Pova 6 Pro Price
Although Tecno has not yet disclosed the price of the Tecno Pova 6 Pro, the expected price may hover around the mark of Rs.15,990. The device will be offered in two attractive color options: Meteorite Grey and Comet Green, and is scheduled to be launched on March 29th, 2024. It will be available for purchase on popular e-commerce platforms such as Amazon India and Flipkart, as well as through all outlets across India.
