Samsung has officially announced the prices of its highly anticipated foldable smartphones, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5, for the Indian market. The devices were launched during the Galaxy Unpacked event held in Seoul, South Korea, and will go on sale starting August 11, 2023.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 comes in two models, and the base variant with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage is priced at Rs 99,999. For users seeking higher storage capacity, there is another model with 8GB RAM and 512GB storage, priced at Rs 1,09,999. The latest Z Flip 5 smartphones are available in four color options Mint, Graphite, Cream, and Lavender. The company has launched four more online exclusive colors: Gray, Blue, and Green.
On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 offers three variants to choose from. The base model with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage costs Rs 1,54,999. Higher storage options are also available, with the 512GB variant priced at Rs 1,64,999 and the 1TB variant priced at Rs 1,84,999. The Galaxy Z Fold 5 is available in Icy Blue, Phantom Black, and Cream color options and two additional Gray and Blue color options exclusive to purchases from Samsung.com.
Samsung is offering benefits worth up to Rs 22,000 on the purchase of Galaxy Z Flip 5. These benefits include a Rs 12,000 upgrade bonus, Rs 8,000 bank cashback and Rs 2,000 worth of Shop App Welcome benefit. Similarly, customers buying the Galaxy Z Fold 5 can avail benefits worth up to Rs 25,000. These include an instant bank discount and upgrade bonus of Rs 13,000, Rs 8,000 bank cashback and exchange bonus of Rs 5,000, among others.
In terms of specs, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 shows off a 6.7-inch 1080p OLED panel on the inside with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. The latest device flaunts a 3.4-inch Super AMOLED Flex Window with up to 60 Hz refresh rate. The latest device comes with a 12MP+12MP rear camera setup and a 10MP camera for selfies. The smartphone is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Mobile Platform for Galaxy that provides an immersive gaming experience and runs Android 13 based on Samsung’s own One UI 5.1.1. On the camera front, the latest smartphone comes with a 10MP Selfie Camera and the main screen has a hidden 4MP Under Display Camera. The device offers a triple rear camera setup featuring a 12MP ultra-wide camera, a 50MP wide-angle camera, 10MP telephoto camera.
