The JioBook is manufactured in India.

Reliance Group’s first-ever budget-friendly laptop JioBook is finally available to Indian customers! The multinational conglomerate has launched the device, which quietly went on sale on the Government e-Marketplace (GeM) portal earlier this month, on Reliance Digital’s website.

    JioBook Specification:

Compact, smart, and powerful are a few adjectives the company uses to introduce its brand-new laptop. The JioBook features an 11.6-inch HD display with a 1366 x 768 screen resolution. The device is powered by Qualcomm’s 64-bit, a 2GHz octa-core processor with Adreno 610 GPU and is packed with 2GB RAM and up to 32GBwMMC storage, which is expandable up to 128GB via a microSD card.

In terms of battery, the company claims that the device can run up to eight hours on a single charge as it is backed by a 5000 mAh (lithium-ion) battery. Another noteworthy feature is that the laptop will run on its operating system, known as JioOS, which Reliance claims is a highly optimized and light OS for superior performance. JioBook also has a passive cooling technology for heat dissipation.

The laptop comes in single Jio blue color, has dual 1.0 W Stereo speakers, and a 3.5mm standard headphone jack along with a 2.0-megapixel web camera. Further, the 1.2 Kg device features two USB ports and one HDMI port. Further, it comes with Reliance Jio LTE connectivity along with other connectivity options like Bluetooth 5.0 and Wi-Fi. For activation of the laptop’s in-built 4G SIM card, users need to visit the nearest Jio Store with ICCID (SIM number), complete their KYC, and choose their preferred data plan.

The company offers a 12-month warranty from the date of purchase of JioBook from an authorized sales point. The laptop, which is manufactured in India, is priced at Rs 15,799 on the company’s website. The pricing is lower than the GeM listing at Rs 19,500. An additional 10% discount can be availed by making payment via credit cards of major banks.
