OnePlus fans, rejoice! The highly anticipated OnePlus 12 series is all set to make its official debut in India on January 23 at the “Smooth Beyond Belief” event at 7.30 PM IST. The flagship smartphones, the OnePlus 12 and OnePlus 12R, have already been launched in its home-ground China last December. However, a recent leak has given consumers a sneak peek into the pricing of these much-awaited devices in India.
Just a day before the smartphone’s launch in the country, a post by OnePlus Club on X (formerly Twitter) has shed light on the pricing details of the OnePlus 12. The base OnePlus 12 smartphone with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage is expected to be priced at Rs. 55,999, while the 16GB RAM and 512GB storage variant will likely be priced at Rs. 61,999. Both variants are rumored to go on sale in the country starting January 30th. On the other hand, the OnePlus 12R is expected to cost Rs. 39,999 for the 8GB+128GB variant and Rs. 41,999 for 16GB+256GB model. OnePlus 12R is anticipated to be available for purchase in February. Since OnePlus Club says it is not affiliated with OnePlus Inc, the news should be taken with a pinch of salt.

In terms of specifications, the latest OnePlus 12 will operate on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC and boasts a 5,400mAh battery, supported by 100W wired SuperVOOC charging. The Indian variant of the OnePlus 12 is expected to mirror the specifications of its Chinese counterpart, which runs on Android 14-based ColorOS 14. The Chinese model features a stunning 6.82-inch QHD+ LTPO OLED screen, offering a refresh rate of up to 120Hz and a peak brightness of 4,500 nits. The smartphone features a Hasselblad-tuned triple camera setup. It includes a 50-megapixel primary camera with a Sony LYT-808 sensor and optical image stabilization. For selfie enthusiasts, the phone sports a 32-megapixel front camera.
Along with the launch of the OnePlus 12 series, the Chinese consumer tech major has confirmed the launch of the OnePlus Buds 3 TWS on the same date. The latest earbuds are expected to be priced at Rs. 10,499 in India.
