Nubia has announced its latest flagship phone, the Nubia Z60 Ultra, set for release on Prime Day, July 16th-17th. This device is the maxed out version on the Nubia Z60 and features variety of features such as the 35mm 50MP Sony IMX800 sensor, 85mm 64MP telephoto camera and an overclocked Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset coupled with a 6000 mAh battery. Nubia Z60 Ultra Specs
The Nubia Z60 Ultra features a 6.8 inch AMOLED display with a 2480 x 1116 resolution coupled with a 120Hz refresh rate. It boasts 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut for vivid colours and PWM Dimming at 2160Hz. It weighs 246 Grams and is IP68 rated meaning it can withstand some dust and water splashes.
The Z60 Ultra is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor and users can choose between 8GB, 12GB, or 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM, paired with either 256GB or 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage.
This camera-centric flagship features a triple-camera system on the back. The main sensor is a 35mm 50MP Sony IMX800 sensor with a wide f/1.59 aperture, accompanied by an 18mm 50MP wide-angle camera and completing with an 85mm 64MP telephoto sensor with OIS. On the front, the Z60 Ultra gets a 12MP 5th-Generation under display camera.
The Z60 Ultra packs a 6000mAh battery, which is likely to offer a full day’s use on a single charge for many users. The phone runs on the latest version of Android 14 via Nubia’s MyOS14 skin and supports fast charging, but the exact wattage is not yet confirmed.
The Z60 Ultra includes an in-display fingerprint sensor, Wi-Fi 7 for fast wireless connectivity, Bluetooth 5.4, and support for multiple navigation systems. The box of contents includes a screen protector, a clear case, a charger, a Type-C data cable,and a SIM tray ejector pin.
Price, Colours and availability
The Nubia Z60 Ultra comes in the Classic Black and Silver color options along with a Photographer’s Edition. The device is set to launch on Prime Day, with pricing starting from $599.00 (Rs. 50,028) for the 8GB+256GB variant, $649 (Rs. 54,204) for the 12GB+256GB variant and $779 (Rs. 65,061) for the 16GB+512GB variant.
With a combination of a powerful 8 Gen 3 SoC, a versatile camera system, and a long-lasting 6000 mAh battery, the device is clearly aimed at the flagship smartphone market but it remains unclear if the phone would launch in India.
