Asus ROG Ally, the company’s first-ever handheld Windows PC console, will be launched in India on July 12. The gaming device is priced at Rs 69,990 and will be available in exclusive Asus stores, Asus e-stores, and on the e-commerce platform Flipkart.

However, the Taiwanese company announced to host a special, one-day Flash Sale on Flipkart on July 7. Apart from this, the first 200 customers who purchase the Asus ROG Ally from the company’s retail outlet or e-store on July 12 will receive a complimentary case worth Rs 2000.

Talking about the device’s specifications, the gaming console will feature a seven-inch full-HD, glossy display with a refresh rate of 120Hz and 500 nits of peak brightness. Furthermore, the display of ROG Ally is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus and comes with additional features for an enhanced gaming experience. These include AMD’s FreeSync Premium, wide sRGB 100% color gamut, and 7ms response time.

The device is powered by an AMD Ryzen ZI processor paired with an AMD Radeon graphics unit. Asus ROG Ally comes with 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 512GB of PCIe 4.0 NVMe M.2 storage. For an immersive audio experience, Asus ROG Ally features dual front-firing Smart Amp speakers with Dolby Atmos, while its two-way AI noise cancellation processes both incoming as well as outgoing audio to filter background noises from voice chats.

Users can enjoy up to two hours of gaming locally on ROG Ally, with up to 6.8 hours of video playback. The device supports fast charging and could charge from zero to 50% in half an hour. Meanwhile, the gaming console’s new Zero Gravity thermal system and dual fan design keep it cool.

For a full handheld experience, the gaming console comes with four customary face buttons, a D-pad, L&R analog triggers, L&R bumpers, two assignable grip buttons, and two full-size analog sticks, among others. Asus ROG Ally can further be transformed into a multiplayer console as it can be connected to a TV and paired with multiple controllers.

Users will get a free three-month Xbox Game Pass along with Windows 11 out of the box. Other than that, the device is equipped with ultra-fast Wi-Fi 6E, and Bluetooth 5.2, and comes in white.
