Xiaomi has teased the Indian premier of the Xiaomi 14 Civi in India, marking the first entry of the Civi (Cinematic Vision) variant into the Indian smartphone market. This follows the earlier launch of the Xiaomi 14 series, and this new addition too, features the advanced Leica camera system as seen in the 14 series. It is also rumoured that the Xiaomi 14 Civi is a rebranded version of the Xiaomi Civi 4 Pro that was launched in China.
Xiaomi 14 Civi specs
The Xiaomi 14 Civi boasts a vibrant 6.55-inch AMOLED display with 68 billion colors, a 120Hz refresh rate, support for Dolby Vision, HDR10+ and can reach a peak brightness of 3000 nits. The phone has a glass front made of Gorilla Glass Victus 2, with the back available in either glass or silicone polymer (eco leather), and is framed in aluminum. It is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 and offers a sharp pixel density of 460 ppi.
Running on Android 14 with Xiaomi’s HyperOS, the device is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset coupled with Adreno 735 GPU. Memory options include configurations of 256GB with 12GB RAM, 512GB with 12GB RAM, and 512GB with 16GB RAM, all utilizing UFS 4.0 storage technology.
The Leica camera system on the 14 Civi is a highlight as it features a triple rear camera setup with Leica Vario-Summilux lenses. The primary 50 MP camera has an f/1.6 aperture and optical image stabilization (OIS), complemented by a 50 MP telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom and a 12 MP ultrawide lens.
For selfies, the Xiaomi 14 Civi includes a dual-camera setup with two 32 MP sensors. To support the camera system this device gets dual-LED flash, HDR and panorama support, and can record 4K video at various frame rates, including 24, 30, and 60 fps.
The phone is equipped with a non-removable 4700 mAh Li-Po battery, which supports 67W wired charging. Xiaomi claims the device can charge to 100% in just 40 minutes using Power Delivery 3.0.Connectivity options are robust, including Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, an infrared port, and USB Type-C 2.0 with OTG support. Positioning systems covered include GPS, GLONASS, BDS, GALILEO, and QZSS.
Price, colours and availability
Available in three colour variants, Shadow Black, Cruise Blue, and Match Green, the Xiaomi 14 Civi has been rumored to be priced at around The Xiaomi 14 Civi is believed to be a rebranded Xiaomi Civi 4 Pro in India. When it comes to pricing, if we go by the 4 Pro’s China price, which is CNY 2,999, the 14 Civi is expected to be priced at around the Rs 35,000 mark.
