In the wake of leaked renders, specifications, and design aspects swirling across the internet, UK headquartered Nothing Tech has now officially announced the launch of the Nothing Phone (2a) on its official website. The phone will be released on March 5th on 5PM for the Indian market. Accompanied by a ticking timer, the company has unveiled a sneak peek of their latest creation. Just a few weeks prior, leaked images hinted at a horizontal dual rear camera setup, and as it turns out, those leaks were spot-on as the company on Monday revealed the device in London and showed a sneak-peek on its X handle.

Nothing Phone (2a) expected specifications
Upon looking at the device, the Nothing Phone (2a) emerges as a complete contrast when compared to its predecessors, showcasing differences in design. The phone boasts of a sleek punch-hole cutout for the front camera and a sophisticated horizontal dual-camera setup at the rear, contrasting with the vertical dual-camera setup that was previously seen on the Nothing Phone (1) and Nothing Phone (2).
While specific details regarding performance remain shrouded, the company recently shed light on the phone’s SoC configuration being the MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Pro chipset. Anticipation mounts as Nothing is yet to confirm the crucial specifications, alongside pricing and color variants (notably in Black and White, just like previous models). Now, its time to look at the expected specifications of the eagerly awaited Nothing Phone (2a)
The leaked images that surfaced prior to Nothing’s official announcement showed a Black variant of the Phone (2a), with its popular Glyph interface. Now unveiled on the company’s website, the Glyph interface on the phone has three glyphs in total. Two of them encircle the camera module in a circular arc, while the other stands vertically, gracing the right-hand side of the device’s back panel.
On the front, the device sports a 6.7 inch AMOLED display, reminiscent of the visuals teased in prior leaks and is expected to be coupled with a screen refresh rate of 120Hz . Rumor has it that the much awaited midranger equips a dual camera setup at the back that is said to feature one 50-megapixel Samsung GN9 sensor and a 50-megapixel JN1 camera. Additionally, it may feature a 32 Megapixel selfie camera in the front.
Nothing previously confirmed that the device would be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Pro SoC chipset, coupled with 12GB of RAM and an additional 8GB of virtual RAM (vRAM). According to the company’s CEO Carl Pei (former Director of Oneplus) the Indian units of the device will be manufactured within the country itself.
Nothing Phone (2a) Price
Nothing Phone 2a may be launched in two colors, the Black and White. It is expected to be priced in India at Rs. 30,000, and will be available on Flipkart. It is expected to be an upgrade to the Nothing Phone 1 while also remaining more affordable than the company’s latest flagship the Nothing Phone 2.
