Xiaomi along with the launch of the Mix Flip and Fold 4 foldable smartphones, unveiled an expansion in the Redmi K series with the Xiaomi Redmi K70 Ultra smartphone. Xiaomi also launched two new colour variants with a collaboration with supercar-maker Lamborghini. Heres what the Redmi K70 Ultra brings to the table.
Xiaomi Redmi K70 Ultra specs
The Xiaomi Redmi K70 Ultra features a 6.67 inch OLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and 4000 nits of peak brightness. It also features Dolby Vision and HDR10+ support. The phone features a sleek design with a glass front and an aluminum frame and is IP68 dust and water resistant, meaning it can withstand splashes, spills, and even a dunk in up to 1.5 meters of water for 30 minutes according to Xiaomi.
Powering the K70 Ultra is the MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ processor and comes in a variety of configurations ranging from 12GB to 24GB of RAM. Storage options range from 256GB to a massive 1TB, with UFS 4.0.
The K70 Ultra is equipped with a triple-camera system on the back. The main highlight is the 50MP wide sensor with PDAF and OIS followed by an 8MP ultrawide sensor and a 2MP macro sensor. On the front, the device sports a 20MP selfie camera.
Powering up the K70 Ultra is a 5500mAh battery, offering ample power for a full day’s use on a single charge. When needed, 120W wired charging ensures you’re powered back up quickly from 0 100% in just 24 minutes as claimed by Xiaomi.
The K70 Ultra runs the latest Android 14 with Xiaomi’s HyperOS skin. Additionally, the phone features an under-display fingerprint sensor for secure unlocking and offers a range of connectivity options including Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.4, and NFC for contactless payments.
Price, colours and availability
The Redmi K70 Ultra starts from a price of CNY 2599 (Rs. 29,888) for the 12GB+256GB variant, CNY 2899 (Rs. 33,338) for the 16GB+512GB variant, CNY 3,599 (Rs. 41,388) for the 16GB+1TB variant and finally CNY 3,999 (Rs. 45,988) for the 24GB+1TB Supreme Champion Edition which is a collaboration between Lamborghini and Xiaomi. The phone comes in a variety of colors such as Black, White, Blue, and two special two special colours being Green and Orange with the Redmi K70 Ultra Lamborghini Edition. While an Indian launch is yet to be confirmed, Xiaomi is all set to launch the Mix Flip and Fold 4 for the India market very soon.
