Poco, the popular smartphone brand under Xiaomi, is set to make its foray into the Indian tablet market with the launch of its first tablet, the Poco Pad. The device is scheduled to hit the shelves on August 23rd at 12 PM exclusively on Flipkart. Poco also announced the launch of Poco Smart Pen and Poco Keyboard along with the Poco Pad. Poco Pad 5G specs
The Poco Pad features a 12.1-inch LCD display with a 16:10 aspect ratio and 600 nits of peak brightness. Offering a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels and a pixel density of 249 ppi, the tablet supports 120Hz adaptive refresh rate. The display is protected by Corning® Gorilla® Glass 3 for added durability.
Powering the tablet is the Snapdragon® 7s Gen 2 Mobile Platform, built on a 4nm process. This chipset is paired with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM coupled with 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage, which can be further expanded by up to 1.5TB using a microSD card.
In terms of the camera, the Poco Pad comes equipped with an 8MP rear camera capable of recording 1080p and 720p videos. On the front, the tablet features an 8MP selfie camera.
Fueling the Poco Pad is a 10000mAh battery that supports 33W wired fast charging.Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, and USB Type-C. Essential sensors like an accelerometer, gyroscope, ambient light sensor, color temperature sensor, electronic compass, and hall sensor come built in.
Running on Xiaomi’s HyperOS, the Poco Pad provides a user-friendly interface built on top of the Android U operating system. The package includes the tablet, adapter, USB Type-C cable, quick start guide, warranty card, and a sim card ejection tool.
Price, colours and availability
As the launch date approaches, anticipation for the Poco Pad is building up. The pricing will be announced as the launch date closes in. The Poco Pad will be launched in two colours, Grey and Blue and will be available starting from 12PM on August 23rd on Flipkart and the official Poco store.
