    On August 29th, 2024, Infinix officially announced its latest smartphone, the Infinix Zero 40 5G, marking a significant addition to its lineup. Set to hit the market on September 8, 2024, here’s everything this new device brings to the table.

    The smartphone boasts a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 2436 pixels, translating to a pixel density of approximately 393 pixels per inch. The screen supports 1 billion colors and HDR, with a remarkable 144Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of 1300 nits. An always-on display feature enhances user accessibility and convenience.

    The Infinix Zero 40 5G features a slim and lightweight build, measuring 164.3 x 74.8 x 7.9 mm and weighing 195 grams. It supports dual SIM functionality (Nano-SIM, dual stand-by) and is built to withstand the elements with IP54 dust and splash resistance. The phone’s design is further protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5.

    Under the hood, the Zero 40 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8200 Ultimate chipset, built on a 4 nm process. Users can choose between 256GB or 512GB of internal storage, both paired with 12GB of RAM, and the device utilizes UFS 3.1 technology for fast data transfer. Notably, there is no expandable memory option available.

    The Zero 40 5G is equipped with a versatile triple-camera system on the rear. The main camera features a 108 MP wide sensor with an f/1.8 aperture, complemented by a 50 MP ultrawide sensor with a 120˚ field of view and an f/2.0 aperture, and a 2 MP depth sensor with an f/2.4 aperture.

    The rear setup supports 4K video recording at both 30 and 60 fps, as well as 1080p recording at multiple frame rates, including 240 fps. The camera system also includes triple-LED flash, HDR, and panorama modes. For selfies, the device sports a 50 MP front camera with an f/2.5 aperture, capable of recording 4K videos at 30 and 60 fps, and 1080p videos at 30 and 60 fps.

    The smartphone houses a 5000 mAh non-removable battery. It supports 45W wired fast charging, advertised to reach 60% charge in just 25 minutes, as well as 20W wireless charging and 10W reverse wired charging. Additionally, it features Bypass Charging 2.0 for enhanced battery management during intensive use.

    The Infinix Zero 40 5G includes dual stereo speakers tuned by JBL for a high-quality audio experience. It supports 24-bit/192kHz Hi-Res and Hi-Res Wireless audio formats. Connectivity options are comprehensive, featuring Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/6e, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC, an infrared port, and FM radio. The device uses a USB Type-C 2.0 port with OTG support. In terms of sensors, the Zero 40 5G includes an under-display optical fingerprint sensor, accelerometer, gyro, proximity sensor, and compass.
