The highly anticipated camera-focused Realme 12 Pro flagship series is set to make its debut in India on January 29th of 2024 at 12PM noon .
Chinese electronics manufacturer and the then Oppo sub-brand Realme, shared the announcement of the 12 Pro series on their X (formerly twitter), YouTube handle and the Realme India website.
Reffered to as the “Portrait Master”, the Realme 12 Pro series features a triple camera setup that consists of a 50MegaPixel Sony IMX890 main camera equipped with a flagship-level optical image stabilization(OIS), followed by a 64-megapixel OmniVision OV64B periscope lens that accommodates for a high-quality super zoom of upto 120x. Lastly, the device features an 8MP ultrawide telephoto sensor for larger-than-life wide angle possibilities. The camera sensor will be 1/2 inch which is 27.62 percent larger when compared with other flagships, measuring around 1/2.52 inches, according to Realme.
Apart from the cameras, the features of the device are still under the wraps as Realme is yet to announce, but according to a few leaks the vanilla Realme 12 Pro is expected to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC chip, while the Realme 12 Pro+ variant may feature a Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset, as reported by Gadgets 360. We may expect the 12 Pro series to feature 12GB of RAM coupled with the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset, and an operating system based on the latest Android 14 with the Realme UI 4 skin.
Realme also teased the color options for the 12 pro series, revealing a stylish blue and beige variants that share a similarity with its predecessor, the Realme 11 Pro+ 5G series. To demonstrate the versatility of the camera, the company has shared enticing camera samples on its website and social media handles.
Both the Realme models are anticipated to feature a substantial 5,000mAh battery that support for 67W of wired fast charging and the smartphones are much likely to feature a vibrant 6.7-inch curved edge Full HD+ AMOLED display panels with a swift and smooth 120Hz screen refresh rate. Notably, the Realme 12 Pro and Realme 12 Pro+ might be accompanied by a third variant, the Realme 12 Pro Max, that was briefly spotted on Flipkart listing according to 91mobiles.
