    OnePlus has introduced a special edition of its first foldable device, the OnePlus Open. Dubbed the OnePlus Open Apex Edition, this new variant pays tribute to the classic OnePlus Red and the Hasselblad 503CW 60 Years Victor Red Edition. It comes draped in a striking Crimson Shadow colorway with a faux leather finish and a sporty orange alert slider setting it apart from its standard counterpart.

    Beyond aesthetics, the Oneplus Open Apex Edition features some exclusive hardware enhancements. It comes equipped with 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage, unlike its standard counterpart and also features a refined the iconic alert slider, giving it a textured finish and an eye-catching orange accent.

    This updated slider introduces a new “VIP Mode” that prioritieses user privacy by disabling cameras, microphone, and location services with a simple flick. OnePlus claims to have achieved this level of privacy through advanced “chip-level encryption.”

    While the Apex Edition stands out with its unique features, the core specifications of the OnePlus Open remain unchanged. The device features the same foldable LTPO3 Flexi-fluid AMOLED display that unfolds to 7.82 inches, with 120Hz refresh rate. When closed, the device features a 6.31 inch cover display. Powering the Apex Edition is the flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor coupled with a 4805mAh battery that supports 67W wired charging for rapid replenishment.

    The triple rear camera system, featuring a 48MP main sensor, a 64MP telephoto lens, a 48MP ultrawide lens, 32MP cover camera and a 20MP selfie camera remain unchanged from the standard variant. Other notable features include stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, an in-display fingerprint sensor, and support for Wi-Fi 6E for high-speed connectivity.

    OnePlus Open Apex Edition

    The OnePlus Open is available in three colour ways, Emerald Dusk, Voyager Black and the Apex Edition. The device will be available for sale starting from August 10th and is priced at Rs. 1,49,999 16GB+1TB RAM+Storage combination. Oneplus has not stated the price of the 16GB+512GB variant as of now.
