At today’s Xiaomi Smarter Living Event 2024, the Chinese tech giant launched the Redmi Pad SE. This new entrant in the Redmi Pad series offers a large display, a long-lasting battery, and a powerful processor at an attractive price point. Along with the Pad SE tablet, Xiaomi also introduced the compact Xiaomi Handheld Garment Steamer for the first time in India, along with the Redmi Buds 5A, and the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum Cleaner S10.
Redmi Pad SE specifications
The Redmi Pad SE comes in a sleek and lightweight design with an aluminum alloy unibody for a premium feel. It boasts a large 11-inch FHD+ display with a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels. This expansive display is ideal for watching movies, reading ebooks, and playing games. The display offers a 90Hz refresh rate for smooth scrolling and comes with a TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light Certification to help reduce eye strain during extended use. The tablet also features Reading Mode 3.0 and is capable to emulate a “kindle-like” paper display effects for better reading.
Under the hood, the Pad SE is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 Mobile Platform built on a 6nm process. Users can choose between configurations with 4GB, 6GB, or 8GB of RAM, paired with 128GB of expandable storage of upto 1TB.
Additionally, the tablet packs a long-lasting 8000mAh battery that can power you through two full days of use. While the wired charging speed is limited to 10W, the large battery capacity ensures you won’t have to worry about running out of juice on the go. The tablet also features quad speakers that can be customizable with Dolby Atmos support for immersive audio.
Interestingly, the tablet features an 8MP rear camera for capturing basic photos and a 5MP front camera for video calls. Although it runs on the MIUI 14 ROM based on Android 13, the Pad SE will get Xiaomi’s HyperOS update very soon. The tablet features a 3.5mm headphone jack for connecting wired headphones.

The Pad SE is available in three colour variants, Graphite Gray, Mint Green and Lavender Purple. The prices start from Rs. 11,999 for the 4GB+128GB variant while the 6GB+128GB and 8GB+128GB variants are priced at Rs.12,999 and Rs.13,999 respectively.
