Indian electric two-wheeler manufacturer Ola Electric on Monday announced a major price cuts for its S1X scooter variants. The cheapest, 2 kWh Ola S1X variant now costs Rs 69,999 (ex-showroom) in the country, down from the earlier price of Rs 79,999.
The mid-range variant, with 3kWh battery capacity, is now priced at Rs 84,999 (ex-showroom). This is down from the earlier pricing of Rs 94,999. The top, 4kWh battery variant of Ola S1X also saw a price reduction of Rs 10,000 and now cost Rs 99,999 (ex-showroom), down from Rs 109,999 previously. All three variants are up for pre-order, with deliveries starting June 14.
All variants of homegrown Ola Electric’s S1X series boast a powerful 2.7 kW/6 kW hub motor, and a top speed of 90 km/hr for the 3 kWh and 4 kWh models, while the entry-level model reaches a top speed of 85 km/h. Furthermore, riders can enjoy ample storage space with 34 liters of boot capacity, ensuring convenience on their journeys.
Aesthetically pleasing, the Ola S1X scooters also feature a 4.3-inch segmented LCD screen, LED head and tail lamps, and the convenience of a physical key—a first for Ola EVs. In terms of charging, the 2 kWh and 3 kWh variants include a portable 500W charger, while the 4 kWh model features a faster 700W charger. Moreover, Ola warranty package cover the battery for up to 8 years or 80,000 kilometers. The scooters are available in seven vibrant color options Red Velocity, Midnight, Funk, Stellar, Vogue, Porcelain White, and Liquid Silver allowing the buyer with a plethora of stylish options.
Beyond specifications, Ola S1X scooters come equipped with a host of smart features, including side stand alert, reverse mode, OTA updates, predictive maintenance, and cruise control. These electric scooters also feature Proximity unlock feature, varied rider profiles and Advanced Regen feature that charges as the rider travels. These features enhance safety, convenience, and overall riding experience, making the Ola S1X series a compelling choice for eco-conscious commuters.
